WELCA Mission Statement: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ
All women of All Saints Lutheran Church are considered members of WELCA - Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
WELCA sponsors many projects including the collection of non-perishable food for local food pantries for community and school needs, the collection of caps, mittens, scarves, or monegary donations for LSSI, the creation and delivery of many beautiful quilts to Lutheran World Relief, and collecting and assembling items for health kits, baby layettes, and/or school kits, also for LWR. WELCA also serves as needed for funerals, receptions, and other special fellowship occasions.
Are you interested in connecting with other women in our congregation? You are invited and encouraged to join in all the activities organized by WELCA. We have a brief fellowship and organizational meeting three to four times a year. Throughout the year we have several activities in which you may have already taken part. Bake sales, potato and pie sales, and chili suppers are a few examples of fundraiswers that have been held in the past. The proceeds of fundraisers have helped to purchase non-budgeted items for the church and help subsidize youth activities as needed. There are many women’s groups that meet monthly such as the Quilters, the Gathering, and Book Club. Feel free to join in on any of these groups as you are able. The coffee pot is always on!
