Eucharistic Ministry

In July, 2014 we began our “Eucharistic Ministry.” The Eucharist is one of the names we give to Holy Communion, a word that means “thanksgiving”. Several of our congregations members have been trained and commissioned as “Eucharistic Ministers”. This ministry is in addition to pastoral visits made by Pastor Janet. The elements are consecrated at worship by the pastor at the communion table, and presented to our Eucharistic Ministers during communion.

We currently have four members to whom we will take communion, but if others request that the sacrament be brought to you, we will be ready and prepared to come. You simply need to call Cindy or Karen at the church office at 815-234-5277815-234-5277 and let us know you would like to be one of the recipients of this ministry.
